Bladesmithing classes by an expert
Alex Price business owner of A.D.PriceMetalcraft provides bladesmithing classes to individuals or groups of a maximum of five, who are interested in mastering the art of making blades they can call their own.
The tasks allotted to students are to forge a bespoke blacksmith's knife and a chef's knife, after Alex Price has demonstrated, which you keep as mementoes of your bladesmithing experience.
A Bladesmithing class is provided for individuals or a maximum group of five in a genuine Victorian forge built in 1885, starting at 10am and finishing at approximately 5pm with a half an hour lunchbreak halfway through so please bring a packed lunch.
Bladesmithing classes take place all year round on designated days, please see list of days below. If a designated day is not convenient for you then please contact Alex Price in advance as other days can be accommodated if necessary. Perhaps you would like to buy a voucher stating a booked day or an open voucher for a designated day to be booked, as a Birthday or Christmas gift for someone who would like to experience bladesmithing or you might like to try own hand at the craft. So please contact Alex Price to purchase a gift voucher.
Advanced bookings are advisable and a bladesmithing class costs £190 per person. This will include expert tuition by Alex and complete use of the forge under supervision. Fires will be ready for you on your arrival in order to crack on for the day. Safety gear will be provided and all specifications of the finished items meet UK regulations.
